Sports Day

On Thursday, year 3 enjoyed taking part in Sports Day. All children competed in 4 different activities. Starting with a sprint race, the children were determined to earn points for their respective house teams. Next, they battled it out in a throwing competition where they used their throwing skills to throw a bean-bag the furthest. Then, the children took part in a long-jump. Children have been practising their jumping skills in PE which meant the distances jumped were very impressive. Finally, the children finished the afternoon with a long-distance race (2 laps of the school track!). 

Results were close with thousands of points for each house! However, the Romans won and now hold the cup. 

Well done to all of the children for the respect, determination and tolerance they showed throughout this day.
