The topic for this week is Harold Hill Historians. It’s all about the past of Harold Hill, and who and what was there.

This week in year 4, (our first week back) we have been learning about the Bayeux Tapestry and have spent lots of time learning about it (Bayeux Tapestry). Some questions we had while learning were “Why was there a battle at Hastings?” and another one was “What happened when William had become king?”

To link with the battle of Hastings, we created Saxon and Norman shields in the D-T room. When we did this, we got to put symbols on our shields, some of the ones we drew on our shields were snowflakes, leafs and clovers (and many other).
