Today we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!

All parents and carers were invited to join us, and from the smiling faces around our playing field, they thoroughly enjoyed it!

We started by singing the National Anthem whilst our Ambassador’s planted the Copper Beach, in commemoration of HM Queen Elizabeth II. A rose bush was also planted in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh.

The children from Year 6 down to Reception then showcased their ‘Dances Through the Decades’, and received huge applause from our visitors and the rest of the school. They have worked very hard over the last few week with Miss Lawrence to perfect them, and their pride showed!

The whole school assembled on the playground to perform ‘Sing’. Each Year group had their own verse to sing, with all joining in the chorus and it sounded wonderful.

We ended the celebrations by asking the parents to join us in a dance and shared some of the delicious cake that they had very kindly donated for the celebrations!
