Thames Chase Conservation Team Visit

What fun the children had, working with the Thames Chase Conservation Team! They learned about the life in our pond, how to protect our thriving saplings and how to maintain them. As well as this, they assisted in mending the path and flooring to the Outdoor Classroom, by replacing the woodchipping.

The species we found when pond dipping were:

Smooth newt male and female (20+)

Pond Skater

Water Beetle

Dragonfly nymph (two different dragonfly species)

Damselfly nymph

Water Shrimp

Water Louse

Bloodworm

Ramshorn snail.
