Chariot races were a popular sport in Ancient Rome. Chariot racing was dangerous to both drivers and horses as they often suffered serious injury and even death, but these dangers added to the excitement and interest for spectators. In year 4 this week, we have learnt about the thrilling sport of chariot racing. We constructed our own chariots using a number of objects one might find around the house. We applied our D.T skills, using a saw, cutting block and a hot glue gun. Ask your child to explain how we made it.
