Welcome back to school! Even though we are only one week into the new school year, it feels like the summer holiday is fading into memories. How wonderful to see the children returned, happy and healthy and settling into their new year groups and new classes. Welcome to all our new staff, settling into their new roles and becoming a part of our whole school community. Sometimes when I walk through the school I see just how far we have come. From 28 children in 2015 to 260 now – and growing. Our year groups are all filling fast. I cannot thank our lovely community enough for spreading the positive news about our school to the local area. This morning Mini-Maylands was the busiest I have seen it. If you have a baby or a toddler- or just want to drop in for a cuppa, please come in at 9-10am on a Tuesday morning. Let your family and friends know too!
I know it seems like a long way off but we have our second Firework Event on 1st November. We hope that it will be as successful as our first and raise even more towards our school funds. Please support by checking the website for ticket details.
Our Harvest Festival is on 26th September at 2pm. All parents/ carers are welcome, although please be patient as our growing school means space may be limited!
Times for parent/ carer consultations on 2nd October will be out next week- don’t forget to return the slip!
We really need help to offer all of the lovely things we do for the children of our school. Could you volunteer with Forest School? Hear children read on some afternoons? Help us with the chickens? Help us with our gardens?
Let the office know if you are able to support- we really need your help!
