On Thursday 25th May we celebrated Change for a Day with UNICEF.
As a Rights Respecting School, we set out to raise over £150 for the charity by planning a breakfast for parents, grandparents and carers of our pupils to attend. With a small charge of £2 per visitor, we were delighted by the turnout, with our play area jam packed with families ready for a tasty breakfast!
The children had prepared a healthy breakfast of fruit salads and flapjacks for guests, and served them to their families inthe glorious sunshine.
The aim of the morning, as well as raising money for UNICEF, was to help to raise our pupils’ awareness of their global citizenship. Many children in the world are suffering from hunger and poor diet and it is our new generations who are able to change the world.
Thank you to all who attended and donated. We raised a grand total of £222.49 for UNICEF!
