On Friday we participated in 'Outdoor Classroom Day' - a global campaign to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. On the day, thousands of schools around the world took lessons outdoors and prioritise playtime.
We had a fantastic time in Reception working in our beautiful outdoor area. We are lucky enough to have our Artist in Residence, Mr Sarkis, who is helping us to construct a bicycle track, plant flower beds and make our garden even more wonderful. The children loved having the opportunity to be involved with developing their outdoor learning area.
This week we took part in Outdoor Classroom Day. We got to spend lots of time outside and the children took part in activities such as making their own weather forecast, creating weather inspired art, experimenting with sound, exploring wind and creating natural frames. Rabbit Class enjoyed another fun filled Forest School session and both Year 1 classes enjoyed their PE session outside.
