Drapers’ Maylands is the only primary school with outstanding features in Harold Hill, according to Ofsted, and one of the best schools in Essex. We are very proud of our school which has high standards – we are in the top 20% of the whole country, and every pupil that goes on to our sister secondary school, Drapers’ Academy gets a conditional offer at university!
Our recent Ofsted report says “Pupils behave impeccably well. They are engrossed in their learning and are self-motivated to care for one another.” With small class sizes, and our focus on the individual child we are often mistaken for a private school.
In addition, we are friendly and welcoming with support for every child through our specialist Thrive programme, lots of outdoor space, a beautiful ‘woodland’ library, a forest school, plus a specialist music programme that lets children learn three instruments. All in our brand new, purpose built building which enables a calm environment to promote good behaviour and more time for learning.
